Description
Heritage and origin
Discover Marquês de Borba Colheita Red, João Portugal Ramos’s heartfelt tribute to his uncle who once held the noble title Marquês de Borba. From Alentejo’s sun-drenched limestone and schist soils, this rich blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonêz, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, Petit Verdot and Merlot is hand-harvested into tiny 15 kg cases and aged six months in second- and third-year French and American oak. The result is a 750 ml bottle at 14% volume bursting with intense berry, cassis and preserve aromas, wrapped in smooth tannins and perfect fruit-acid balance – modern Alentejo royalty, available at Vin’s Winery online shop.
The Marquês de Borba expression
Marquês de Borba Colheita Red is vinified with family pride: fully destemmed bunches ferment under temperature control, then rest in seasoned small oak barrels that polish without overpowering the fruit’s natural generosity. Store lying down at 15°C and serve at 16-18°C alongside red meats, roast beef or grilled dishes to enjoy its velvety richness and lingering harmony at Vin’s Winery.
