Description
Heritage and Origin
Discover the Monte da Ravasqueira Seleção do Ano Red from Portugal’s vibrant Alentejo region, a 750 ml bottle at 13.5% volume crafted by winemaker Pedro Pereira Gonçalves. Blending Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Aragonêz, this 87-point Revista de Vinhos star (contains sulphites) shows dark opaque red with violet tones, an aromatic nose bursting with Touriga and Syrah varietal power – red/black fruit, menthol, cassis, truffle, freshness, minerality and seamless barrel integration. Voluminous yet elegant on the palate with persistent tannins and a mineral finish; drink now or cellar up to five years. A versatile Portuguese red at Vin’s Winery online shop.
The Seleção do Ano Expression
The Monte da Ravasqueira Seleção do Ano Red harnesses night-harvested grapes chilled at 0°C for 12 hours, partially crushed and fully destemmed, with one-day cold maceration at 4°C; 40% of the blend ages 9 months in French oak for polished intensity. Store lying down at 15°C; serve at 16/18°C with red meats, roast beef or grilled dishes to savour its elegant persistence at Vin’s Winery.
